With over 14 years in business, our depth of carriers and purchasing power provides you with competitive pricing for your truckload shipments. Our large database of carriers and long-term carrier relationships affords us the ability and knowledge to match your truckload shipments with the right trucking companies, providing you with superior service. All America Transportation, Inc. has many different metrics in place, measuring our carriers’ on-time performance and overall service record in order to ensure the safety and timely delivery of your freight.
What is truckload shipping?
A full truckload shipment contains enough freight from one customer to fill a semi-trailer. In comparison to less-than truckload shipments, Full Truck Load (FTL) carriers transport the freight directly to its destination versus being moved from trailer to trailer.
When shipping with us we have a few guidelines for preparing and loading your shipment. All freight should be safely packed onto skids where applicable for easy loading and unloading. When loaded on to the trailer it is important to ensure that the weight is distributed evenly over the entire length of the trailer. For more information regarding truck loading, view our loading instructions or call us at (888) 343-6806 with any questions.
Types of Truckload Shipments We Manage
Dry Van Freight
Van truckload trailers are enclosed trailers used to haul regular palletized, boxed, or floor loaded freight that does not require special accommodations such as refrigeration or temperature control. Most of our van truckload trailers are typically 48' to 53' long. For more information on van shipment loading instructions, view our FAQ questions page.
Refrigerated or Temperature Controlled Freight Shipping
A “reefer” or refrigerated truckload is hauled in an insulated van or refrigerated van trailer depending on your needs. The trailers are designed to regulate and control the temperature inside the trailer to transport perishable foods or other freight.
Hazardous Materials Shipping
All America Transportation, Inc. works with certified carriers to haul hazardous materials throughout the contiguous United States. We ensure all of our trucking company partners are properly licensed, insured, and comply with DOT regulations.
A flatbed trailer works best for truckloads that will not fit inside a van trailer. The advantage of flatbed trailers is that the truckload freight can be unloaded from the sides or back of the trailer versus a dry van. Freight is securely strapped with tarps to the trailer bed.
