Loading Instructions

All America Transportation provides customers with professional loading assistance. Listed below are a few tips for van truckload shipments.

Van Truckload Loading Instructions

Make certain trailer is correctly aligned in dock door, dock plate is securely in place and wheels are chocked before entering trailer.
Consult driver before loading trailer especially when shipment may be heavy. Be sure to distribute the weight evenly over the entire 48’ or 53’ length of trailer.
48’ Van trailers may be loaded with up to 22-24 skids depending on skid dimensions.
53’ Van trailers may be loaded with up to 26-28 skids depending on skid dimensions.
Skids may have to be pin wheeled in order to fill van up to full capacity.
Van trailers may be loaded up to a capacity of 44,000 to 45,000 lbs.
Before driver leaves with shipment, make sure the bill of lading has been signed, driver retains copy, and shipper retains copy.
