Still Tighter Capacity Expected in The Truckload Market
According to a recent survey by Wolfe Trahan, shippers expect truckload capacity to tighten even further over the next year. Shippers believe LTL capacity will be more stable. The survey found that 77% of shippers expect truckload capacity to get tighter, the highest percentage since 2004, the equity research firm said. On average, shippers surveyed expected their transportation budgets to rise 9% over the next year as tight truck capacity creates higher rates across modes.
