LTL Shipping in the Contiguous United States
All America Transportation, Inc. works with trucking companies seeking to fill their trucks with smaller Less Than Truckload or LTL shipments out of the Midwest to specific areas such as Florida and California. In addition, we have partnered with trucking companies that provide top-notch refrigerated and frozen LTL service. Our logistics management professionals can provide you with our LTL service area and additional freight shipping information.
What is LTL Shipping?
If you need cargo shipping but do not have enough to fill a full truckload, we offer less than truckload shipping services. With LTL shipping, your freight is loaded onto a trailer with similar cargo from other customers until the trailer is full. The freight is then delivered to a hub or distribution center where it is loaded onto a truck to be delivered to its final location. This allows you to move your cargo without having to wait until you have enough for a full truckload.
Types of LTL Shipments
Dry Van Freight
If you have regular palletized, boxed, or floor loaded freight that needs to be shipped in an enclosed trailer your best option is a dry van trailer. The most common LTL freight shipments that we manage are shipped via dry van trailers.
Refrigerated or Temperature Controlled Freight
If your LTL freight requires a “reefer” or refrigerated trailer option, we work with several trucking companies that haul temperature controlled cargo. The trailers are designed to regulate and control the temperature inside the trailer to transport perishable foods or other freight.
