Average Prices For Trucking Services Increases

Average prices for all trucking services increased .09% for the month of May 2011. This was the 10th consecutive month prices have increased. Year over year truckload and LTL prices have increased 4.5%. Increasing demand for trucks, higher fuel costs, and shortage in truck capacity have contributed to the pricing increases. Forecast models show an overall yearly increase in cost upward to 6.4% for 2011. This forecast is the largest annual increase since 2008.
